Mayra Olivares

MAYRA OLIVARES

Hometown: Hidalgo, TX

Classification: SR

I want to be:
Dietician

Hobbies: Dancing, cooking, embroiding

My secrets for good grades (100!) are:

  • Taking good notes and re-reading them multiple times
  • Reading the book. If I don't understand something, I search for it on -line or ask professors and or classmates to explain. It is perfectly fine to ask for help to understand things better.
  • Study in a group. Exchanging ideas with others is an effective way of learning
  • The power of association is amazing. I relate class terms to things that seem ridiculous at times, but it works! when something sounds weird or uncommon, it can catch a person's attention and can help them remember it for a long time.
