Pay attention in class. Dr. Materon gives a lot of interesting ways to remember the information and explains how all the information works together.
Read the lecture notes at least a few times. It gives the more clear overview of all the info needed for the test. It also will guide your reading of the textbook for all the most important things.
Make notecards for organisms and different lab tests and classification methods, etc.
Re-write your notes and then review it will make things much more clear.
