Go to lecture as much as possible and take good notes. Read the book, paying attention to figures and charts. Make flashcards of the information you have trouble remembering.

Studying is important but sleep is also important. Coffee can only take you so far. If you take the test and you are lacking sleep then you are most likely to make silly mistakes like bubbling the wrong answer or misinterpreting the question.
