Teaching:

Dr. Nazmul Islam is teaching Electronics I, Electronics II, Digital VLSI Circuits, Analog and Digital Communication, Senior Design, Introduction to Engineering courses at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Dr. Islam developed the Electronics I lab course at UTRGV. Dr. Islam developed and taught a graduate course “Mixed Signal Circuit Design” at NAU. The Senior Design I and II courses are also modified and put requirements for the students to present bi-weekly on their research. Dr. Islam was nominated for UT System Regents' Outstanding Teaching Award 2014.

VLSI class covers the chip level design of IC using Cadence. Electronics class covers all the basic devices and circuits on Diode, Opamp, MOSFET, BJT and semiconductor devices. Circuit class basically covered the basic laws of Electrical circuit analysis, ac, dc, and three-phase system, transient and steady state analysis, resistive and reactive lumped components etc. Electronics lab included the detailed simulation and experimentation on Diode, MOSFETs and BJTs, different amplifier design, multistage operational amplifier design etc.
