Welcome to the laboratory for infrared optics of nanostructures.

Department of Physics and Astronomy, College of Science, UTRGV

Kim Lab Opening

Our research interests are to understand the novel physical properties of strongly correlated materials of fundamental interest, and to further develop their potential for infrared and terahertz applications, especially in the field of metasurfaces and nanophotonics. Our laboratory is supported by the University of Texas System and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Open Positions

We are looking for highly motivated graduate students with strong interest in the nanophotonics and metasurfaces research. If interested, please contact to Prof. Kim (myounghwan.kim @utrgv.edu).
