- Hunter received the Engaged Scholar Award for his work on "Exploring the solvation process of perfluorooctanoic acid: One water at a time" in the fall!
- Jennessa received the Engaged Scholar Award for her work on "Conformational analysis of perfluorooctanesulfonic acid" in the fall!
- Alitza and Dr. Lin visited University of Minnesota to carry out spectroscopic research in collaboration with the research group of Prof. Kenneth Leopold (June-July 2023)
- The Lin group has one undergraduate student intern position open for the 2023-2024 academic year. The pay rate is $12/hour with a maximum of 19 hours/week. Please contact Dr. Lin for work responsibilities and eligibilities of this position by July 31 if you are interested.

- Professor Elfi Kraka from Southern Methodist University visited UTRGV. Professor Kraka gave a department seminar on her research and introduced the new PhD program on theoretical chemistry. Our alumnus Alexis Delgado was featured in her talk as one of the first cohorts graduating from this program.
