We just got the word that faculty web space is available. It's literally just a folder on a network, that we can populate any way that we see fit. That is both awesome and terrifying.
I'm taking my recent experience of learning Bootstrap as part of the NEH-funded Institute for Digital Archaeology Method & Practice to create a web presence from scratch. In addition to the standard academic stuff on my research and teaching (nice, static pages, thank you very much), I'm also trying to set up a blog page. I blogged during my dissertation research, and then off and on in the years after that. Blogging project progress is also a requirement of the Digital Archaeology Institute. I have many colleagues who blog, and it's a great opportunity to connect to people who our research might not otherwise reach.
