LAB 10
Due date:
April 3, 2019
1. When a user logs into the domain
without administrative privileges, no administration to the local workstation
can be performed such as adding a printer or installing a new program. If there is an IT department it will handle
such tasks for the user. However, there
will be some individuals who need to be given administrative privileges to the
local computer. Many of the database
applications will not run without administrative privileges to the local
computer. In such cases, the IT
department needs to grant the administrative privileges.
Create
a user and grant administrative privileges on the local computer. Make sure that this user does not have
administrative privileges for the domain.
Granting administrative privileges on the domain for regular users can
cause terrible unwanted side effects.
Screen capture user directories before and after.
2. Add IIS role to the server. The Internet Information Services (IIS)
manager console located in Administrative tools is used to manage
configuration. You may need to create
an application pool from IIS manager and create a web page (from sites from IIS
manager). Make sure the webpage is
accessible from a client. Make sure to
submit screen shots of setup and final display of a webpage you created.
