I'm an assistant professor of Computer Science at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. My research is in the broad area of Machine Learning and Bioinformatics. I am always looking for highly motivated students interested in my research. Please email if you are interested.
I teach CSCI3326 OOP in Java every semester, CSCI4352 Machine Learning every Fall semester, and CSCI6352 Advanced Machine Learning every Spring semester.
My research interests include, but not limited to the following areas; Deep Learning, Computational Biology, Data Analytics, Computer Vision, Visualization, Android App and Web Application Development, and Self-Assembly.
I am a Director of Machine Intelligence lab at UTRGV. We conduct research and professional projects in the field of Machine Learning. (MI stands for Mission Impossible)
