All assignments and tests will be conducted outside of class and will be available for fairly extensive periods of time. The usual sorts of excuses for not turning in work should, therefore, be irrelevant. Should exceptional circumstances arise — long-term illness, sequestered jury duty, military assignment, etc. — that prevent a student from turning in an assignment on time, make-ups may be provided by special arrangement. In such cases, the request for a make-up opportunity must be submitted as soon as possible after the emergency if over.
