This course is divided into eight Units. Unit I will be devoted to orientation and introduction to essential tools that will be used throughout the semester; there will also be an entry Quiz designed to evaluate base knowledge about the era covered in this course. During Units II through VII, students will be assigned to write up brief  responses to questions relating to primary documents that relate to the reading assignments. There will be a Mid-Term Exam covering Chapters 1-7. Unit VIII will consist entirely of a multiple choice quiz covering all of the reading for the course and a Final Exam covering Chapters 8-15.
